The Airstream is Home!

After a long stay at the Jackson Center, Ohio Airstream factory, our 1969 29' Ambassador is finally back home. New locks and latches, a new front window and rock shield, and a new front awning make a big difference. Now we just need a few plumbing repairs and she will be ready to roll for our first Dogwoods & Bluegrass Airstream Rally at Kentucky Horse Park this weekend. In the near future, I'm hoping to update the interior with fresh curtians and maybe paint and paneling. The front bed and table also will soon be restored to a more practical layout. These are a few pictures taken when we first bought her.

Passover & Feast of Unleavened Bread-Menus

If you are interested in Biblical holidays, you'll find it fascinating to study the feasts in the Old Testament as described in Leviticus 23. Then challenge yourself to make the connections to their prophetic significance for the New Testament Christian. Because I'm interested in prophesy, I've been observing the feasts for about seven years now. It has added layers of richness and presented new challenges in the lining up my beliefs with scripture.

One of the pleasures of keeping the feasts is the coming together of family and friends for fellowship, study, and food. The Feast of Unleavened Bread is set apart by the interesting requirement of unleavened bread for seven days. A few special recipes make the week memorable and mindful, and keep one curious and meditative of what the future may bring.

These are a few recipes I will be trying this year! Mix and match to your family's taste. Adapt any ingredients as necessary.  I'll be updating as I find new recipes, so check back!

Finding the Lovely {Week Three}

I've joined an event which you can find here Finding the Lovely. And though I'm a bit late posting, I decided to put this collage together. I'm so glad I did! It's kind of like a photo journal that reminded me what a good and productive week I really had. And that I have much to be thankful for.

Fresh oranges and hot tea, shopping date and lunch with my lovely daughter, a sewing date with my friend Cathay with our vintage sewing machines, a week to finish unfinished projects.

Such a great idea!

Bloom True Paintings

Working on two paintings with Bloom True: the e-course with Flora Bowley! These are turning out to be so much fun. Working back and forth with warm and cool colors and a variety of methods for applying the paint really brings a lot of life to a painting. Will be working on them again today, adding more layers of paint!

Ruffle Apron

I was inspired by a ruffled apron I saw on Jeanne Oliver's shop at Jeanne Oliver Designs. Her  Creatively Made e-course has been so much fun! So yesterday I combined the best features of two online tutorials Ruffled Apron with six ruffles and this four ruffle Ruffled Apron to make my own. I used a medium weight white fabric. I think it was 2 1/2 yards. I ripped all the pieces to size using a combination of the instructions from the tutorials and made the bib up as I went along. I'm pretty happy with the results. Now to get some paint on it!
